I took a chance with this piece by slanting the background. I started with the larger bone in the back, focusing on its shading and color scheme. As my first breadth piece it was a good marker to base my other works off of to measure progress.

Pictured: Kadee Jenson. In this picture i shoved multiple glow sticks into a balloon with the intent to show the balloon's motion when thrown. The lights in the background work together with the reflection in the floor to silhouette Kadee's figure as she throws the balloon. This is easily one of my favorite pieces.

This piece took me the longest to complete. That was due mostly to the medium i was working with: gum wrappers. I think they add a wonderful flare to the piece, bringing out parts of her face and highlighting different sections of the piece. The girl pictured is my best friend 14 years, and I believe I did a decent job at representing her. The ink easier to work with than I thought it would be, but finding the right shade was the tricky part. Over all this was the most challenging to make but the product was worth it.
